A few honest notes: the kitchen can slow down when the place is packed, so if you're in a hurry, choose your night carefully. Popular dishes sell out faster than you'd expect — arriving early and booking ahead gives you the full range. The grill platter divides opinion; it's well-cooked but a few reviewers find it steep for the portion size. The meze route is almost always the better value and the more interesting way to eat here anyway.

Vegetarian and vegan options are genuine dishes, not afterthoughts. Dogs are welcome on the terrace, which matters more than it sounds in a neighborhood where people walk everywhere with them. Place d'Austerlitz is a two-minute walk — Au Cèdre has clearly become the kind of spot the neighborhood actually returns to, not just discovers once.
