I saw this place open last year and since then I’ve been here at least a dozen times. It’s delicious, it’s fresh and everybody is so freaking helpful and kind.
Today I got a medium bowl with half tuna and half spicy tuna. We have cucumbers and sushi rice as the base. I also added crab, and edamame, kombu (seaweed salad), green onions and furikake
Rayu helps me today. But I’ve never met anyone here that wasn’t helpful and friendly.
I rarely give five-star reviews, but Fish and Things Poke Bar absolutely deserves it! This place is perfect in every way. The taste of the poke bowl is out of this world—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Every bite was a treat.
The drinks are just as impressive—refreshing and thoughtfully crafted to complement the meal. The service is awesome; the staff are friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming, which really adds to the overall experience.
Value for money is excellent. You get generous portions, high-quality ingredients, and a great variety of toppings—all at a very reasonable price.
There’s paid parking right next to the restaurant, and if you’re lucky, you can even find free street parking nearby.
If you’re in San Diego and craving poke, this spot is a must. Go for the poke bowl—you will not regret it!
Solid poke spot in Pacific Beach! A good assortment of toppings that are fresh and flavorful. The service is easy going and served at the counter. The vibe is casual and good for a lunch or grab and go. I got a custom bowl with half brown rice and half zucchini noodles and two scoops of poke. The F&T mix was really good with a nice balance of salty and umami. Overall, great pick for a lunch spot!
I ordered the California Signature Bowl and was honestly a little bit disappointed. The fish was fresh and cut in small pieces. But there was way too much rice, just a couple of edamame beans, and only a few cucumber slices. No toppings were offered, there was no sauce in the bowl itself, and they even forgot to include soy sauce in the bag. I’d rate this place 3 out of 5.
This a really nice spot. Not much traffic to it, but it is very clean and the staff were very attentive. We had the dragon roll and two teriyaki chicken dinners. The food was pretty good and the wait was non-existent. The prices were bit high and the Google online menu was off by $2-3 per item. I would go back for sure. Nice job!!
