Love this place. My friend and I have frequented several Himalayan restaurants around the San Diego area. Our favorite one closed. This one sounded good so we tried it.
It is beautiful inside. Service is terrific. We go for the buffet, which is inexpensive, and the offerings are often changed. There are plenty of options each time we have gone, which has been three times so far.
Don’t worry about the food being too spicy for you. They intentionally make it only a little spicy, but they have a spicy sauce you can add at your discretion. The wonderful flavors are there either way.
There is a full menu if you don’t want buffet. Looking forward to the next visit.
Ordered takeout. We ordered the chicken chili. Make sure you're not in a rush as it takes time to cook your food, around 30 min. The yellow rice was good. The chili chicken however left a lot to be desired. I think I got one piece of a red bell pepper, no green bell peppers, and the sauce was very tomato based. I called to make sure that I got the right order as there wasn't much bell peppers and they said I did in fact get the right order and that next time I should indicate that I want more bell peppers. Not sure that I should have to do that when the bell peppers are supposed to be an important part of the dish. In any case, it looks like it could be a family restaurant which is a good thing. Not sure that I will try again after this as I wasn't expecting that much sauce with that much of a tomato taste. I come from a country that has tomato based stews and they blend the flavor as opposed to just tasting tomatoes.
Food variety, prices, quantity, Service everything was just top notch. Love the daal, tea, momo’s sizzler was just mouth watering. Great options for vegetarians.
Delicious curries. The lamb tikka masala is my favorite and my wife likes the chicken curry the best. The wait staff is very friendly and happy to answer questions and make recommendations. The naan is always good and we also like the special aromatic rice as a change from always getting the regular basmati rice. Update: Got the Butter Chicken and Butter Naan. Both were excellent. Prices have increased. Update: Got the Chicken Curry and Butter Chicken. Both were excellent. Prices have increased again. Update: Got the Chicken Curry with Garlic Naan. We've been coming here for years. The food here is so rich and flavorful. I love the vegetables pakora, the tiki marsala sauce—all of the sauces really, and clay oven naan is perfection. All the desserts are wonderful, if you come here you must try a desert!
