Ka Prao Thai is absolutely fantastic! The food is incredibly flavorful, fresh, and authentic. Every dish is perfectly balanced with bold Thai spices and high-quality ingredients. You can really tell they put care and consistency into their cooking. The portions are generous, and the menu has great variety whether you’re craving something classic or want to try something new. A unique appetizer is the Gai Zab which is there take on the Taiwanese style popcorn chicken except with Thai Tom yum spices! It’s really good and has the fried basil.
The service is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. They offer 5% off of you pay in cash. A huge bonus is that they’re open late until 12 AM on the weekdays, which is perfect when you want amazing Thai food after most places have already closed in central San Diego. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for delicious, reliable Thai cuisine!
Amazing. I got delivery. Got the Larb and the Drunken noodles, both 11 spicy (“mucho picante” level), and it was super spicy and super flavorful, just how I wanted it. Loaded with chilis. Freaking awesome. And then the mango sticky rice was amaaaazinnnnng. Super wet and drippy. Yum.
I ordered the Pad Thai and Thai coffee.
The Thai coffee was really good.
The Pad Thai tasted like a typical Thai-style Pad Thai nothing special, but good overall. It’s a decent spot for a quick and casual Thai meal.
Parking is super easy with plenty of free spaces available.
The food is made to order, the restaurant is small that the food comes quickly. The employees are polite, and friendly. The restroom is so clean it’s as they clean after each patron. Excellent food!
Ordered delivery as it was very well rated on Uber Eats (4.7 with over 4,000 reviews). I should’ve looked on here first. To me it’s no more than 3 stars.
I ordered Pad See Ew and the noodles came mushy, broken and stuck together. Not much flavor. The tofu also was not the right texture and a little soggy.
Green curry w salmon was mediocre. The salmon was overcooked though I guess to be expected. I chose mild spice on both dishes but while the noodles were bland, this one was bordering too spicy.
Paid extra for brown rice. Idk what this is but it’s not brown rice.
I like the name though - Ka Prao! 💥
