Had the opportunity to try La Perla #3 earlier this year but unfortunately the way was just to long. Fast forward a few months and I had the chance to try La Perla #2. Went on during the week leading up to Thanksgiving in the middle of the afternoon and there was no waiting. Staff were very friendly and the food was great. We got their carne asada and al pastor burritos and they were phenomenal. Would highly recommend.
Run, do not walk to this burrito. San Diego resident here and this is best Cali in town. Oaxacancali is unique, tasty, and made with the freshest ingredients. The tortilla is one of the best i’ve had in my life. Cannot recommend this enough.
I had pretty high expectations and was disappointed with how dry the California burrito was... salsas didn't make up for the dryness and lack of cohesion between ingredients. Apparently #3 and #2 are extremely different experiences, so keep that in mind.
I love their breakfast burritos!
The burritos used to be bigger and cheaper.
The taste is still delicious but the burritos have gotten smaller and feels over priced.
Nearly 30 dollars for two breakfast burritos.
