Delicious bagels. Soft and very fresh! I wanted to try the rosemary and shakshuka bagels, but they were sold out by the time I got there (1pm). The sesame bagel was excellent though. FYI: they stop making egg sandwiches at 11, so plan ahead if that’s what you want. Also kosher Cholov Israel (wish I’d known about this place sooner!). Will definitely be back.
Update: I made it back for the Shakshuka and the Rosemary bagels (photos) Rosemary might be my favorite so far!
The Shakshuka sauce is delicious, the bagel is more like a soft pizza crust (yum!) however the egg might get overcooked if you ask to toast it- just so you know.
Kosher only therefore there’s no meat other than fish. Price seems very reasonable $6.50 for Bagel with cream cheese and veggies. Super fresh and perfect portion of cream cheese for my extra liking. Very congruent vibe across the whole shop with the segal design, very welcoming. Had comfortable seating throughout could definitely work on your laptop here for a long time. Staff was very nice and quick. The menu for a non-bagel eater was minorly complex felt like it could be simplified. Overall was delicious and great experience.
Heck yeah. Mission Bagels has got the sponge like NYC dough thing going on, and they know how to toast just right. The menu is simple and effective.
Mission Bagel is a great tasty morning crew breakfast option. I will return
The patio is great I hope they add some shade
Finally, a true New York–style bagel spot right here in PB! 🥯 Mission Bagels is such a gem — the bagels are perfectly chewy, the spreads are fresh, and I even found whitefish on the menu, which is such a treat in San Diego. It’s casual and welcoming, the kind of place you immediately want to come back to.
I went with my 3-year-old daughter, and she absolutely loved it too — always a win when a spot makes both adults and kids happy. Great food, great vibe, and such a needed addition to the neighborhood. I’ll definitely be back again (and again).
I have had the tuna one so good! The egg and one so good! And now the Salmon one is unreal. This is the best bagel spot in San Diego hands down. It’s a taste of New York for sure. Donte is also the man super friendly. Everyone who works there is great
