I had a terrible experience here and honestly, I am shocked by the quality of the food and the service.
1. Sushi:
I read reviews saying they use frozen fish, so I kept my expectations low. However, it was worse than I imagined. The fish was still partially frozen. Most alarmingly, the tuna was a "fluorescent pink" color. It looked completely artificial, as if it had been dyed with pink coloring. It was unappetizing and concerning.
2. Spicy Miso Ramen & Allergy Issue:
This was the most frustrating part. I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen, specifically choosing a menu item without eggs due to my severe egg allergy. Despite this, they served it with a sliced hard-boiled egg (not even a proper soft-boiled ramen egg, just a regular hard-boiled one).
Furthermore, the menu explicitly stated the dish comes with scallions, but they were completely missing. When I asked the server (a man with black hair, glasses, and a beard), he dismissively said, "We don't actually put scallions in." When I pointed out the menu description, he acted like he was doing me a huge favor by bringing some chopped scallions on the side. To top it off, the soup tasted like cheap instant ramen seasoning rather than a proper miso base. I literally had to ask if this was even the correct dish.
3. Dragon Roll:
The roll was mostly rice. The pieces of eel on top were "miserably small." It was a complete rip-off.
4. Service & Hygiene:
There was visible residue/stains on the plates. While the staff is good at saying "Hi" and "Bye," they lack basic attention to detail, food knowledge, and safety protocols regarding allergies.
Verdict: If you care about food quality, hygiene, or have food allergies, STAY AWAY. They do not follow their own menu descriptions and provide sub-par, potentially dangerous service.
5. Tip & Final Thoughts:
Even after such a disastrous experience, I still left an 18% tip (calculated after tax) because I believe in respecting service workers. However, this establishment did not deserve it. Between the unhygienic plates, the neon-colored fish, the instant-tasting ramen, and the blatant disregard for food allergies, there is no reason to dine here. They are good at saying "Hi" and "Bye," but that’s where their service ends. Save your money and go somewhere that actually cares about food safety and customer service.
