While PB's dining scene runs heavily toward seafood and casual Mexican, Scuderie Italia operates in a different lane entirely — wood-fired Neapolitan pizza and house-made pasta a block from the boardwalk. No ocean views, no fish on the menu, just Italian technique applied with enough care that regulars with actual celiac disease trust the kitchen with their gluten-free orders.

The "red" pizzas — margherita, marinara, anything tomato-forward — are the standout here. Thin crust that blisters properly in the oven, fresh tomato sauce that tastes like it was crushed that morning, minimal toppings so nothing gets soggy. The **margherita** and **diavola** are consistent performers. There's also a Nutella dessert pizza that shows up in reviews as either excellent or disappointing depending on whether they're actually using Nutella that night — ask before you order if it matters to you.

Service tends to be attentive without hovering, and the space works for both weeknight solo dinners and family groups with kids. Outdoor seating faces Garnet, which means you get some street noise but also better airflow than sitting inside. Reservations are accepted, which is rare enough around here to be worth mentioning — especially on weekends when the rest of the neighborhood operates on a first-come, wait-in-line-with-a-beer model.

Parking on Garnet is the usual PB nightmare after 6 p.m., so either arrive early or plan to circle. The pizza comes out fast once you order, so turnaround is quicker than you'd expect for sit-down Italian. If you're splitting, the margherita plus one of the heartier red-sauce pizzas covers most bases without overlapping flavors.
