My husband and I decided to visit a vineyard while staying in San Diego. We randomly picked Trevi Hills Winery! What an awesome place to visit! Michael was such a wonderful host! The wine was outstanding and the atmosphere was amazing! We will definitely visit again next time we travel to California!!
I expected another small SiCal vintner w/ questionable wine quality… surprise!
Mike knows how to put out a very high-quality wine. I recommend it you might be surprised.
Awesome winery, relaxed ambiance, amazing host, and great wine. This place checked all the boxes for me. The wine tasting experience outdoors was a delight in the perfect mountain weather. Strike up a chat with the owner, very talkative and informative. Will 100% be back when craving a fun drive down winding roads leading to an awesome winery.
Trevi Hills Winery is a relatively new winery (open about 4 years) on the east side of Lakeside. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed, the people are friendly, and the wine is good. My girlfriend and I visited recently for the first time, and we will be going back again. Our favorite is their Sangiovese, but they currently have two other reds, a white and a rosé. They have recently added Merlot, Malbec and several other varieties to their vineyard.
Update: The winery has expanded its tasting room seating area down the hillside, there are now two gazebo areas and several two person tables where patrons can enjoy their wine.
I've heard about Trevi Hills Winery over the last year or so and finally got to go to an estate planning event there. The presenter Steve Wedeking was awesome and Mike the Sommelier was very informative and fun. It's a great place and they said they're open to the public and also for private events. You should check it out.
