Le Gruber

We did the 'Resto en Fête' which is 2 meals for the price of one. I must admit that I was a bit disappointed with the appetizer; a sort of mini sandwich with cheese and honey served with a a quarter of a tomato and a slice of cucumber. It was tasty but lacked creativity. The starter was so delicious with a savoury panacotta with 2 juicy fried prawns in a sauce. The main dish was a crispy risotto with herby cod and a lemon sauce. That too was very delicious and the rum baba with red fruits and cream was equally divine. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal with my friend. The staff was super kind and welcoming. I'll be going back in December with some other friends. This is one of my favourite restaurants in Strasbourg and I highly recommend it.

We had flammekueche for lunch along the narrow alley by Notre Dame Cathedral. It was pretty dece, especially for a spot that totally looks like a tourist trap.

The only thing you will satisfy is the athmosphere, as old style decorated however service professionalism, and food quality is disappointing. I ordered a salmon plate with expectation of a piece of salmon without bones, marinated with an excellent souce with vegetables however it came like this, a whole fish with pasta.:((( Waiter while ordering super effortless to explain what's serving in plate, however early to get tips he fastened the payment while I was eating as said his shift finishing, which you don't expect this lower quality mistake in such a restaurant. Very disappointing, I recommend you to save your money. ✋️
